Summary
Codecov.io currently supports posting a comment on a PR with a markdown report summary of codecoverage.
Github has an API called the Checks API (Checks - GitHub Docs), that allows a Github app to post a per commit check status success/failure, but also include a markdown summary that can be displayed to users. This would integrate more directly and could also encompass the build status check.

This looks very interesting. I can’t give a yes/no/timeline since I don’t know what amount of work would be involved. I have relayed this feature request to our product and engineering teams, thanks for sharing it!
